Regent Seven Seas Cruises Sophisticated Shores: New York to Montreal
Day 1: September 2, 2021
Spend your day in New York City before setting sail on your 10-night luxury, all-inclusive cruise on Regent Seven Seas Cruises S.S. Navigator®. The ‘City that Never Sleeps’ beckons — renowned museums and sites galore by day; the glittering sophistication of clubs, theaters and restaurants by night. Explore Chinatown, Greenwich Village, the United Nations, Central Park’s Museum Mile and Wall Street’s towering steel and glass monuments to commerce, then hop into a cab for an afternoon of world-class shopping along Park and Fifth Avenues.
Day 2: September 3, 2021
Today you will be at sea and free to enjoy all of the world-class amenities on board.
Day 3: September 4, 2021
Your first port of call is St. George, Bermuda. Dating back to 1609 when the Sea Venture wrecked off the coast, the first settlement of Bermuda began here at this north end of the archipelago. St. George's parish is comprised of two large islands, St. George's and St. David's. The town of St. George's is the second-oldest English town in the New World, and for almost two centuries, was the capital of Bermuda. It is named for both Sir George Somers, the founder of Bermuda, and Saint George, the patron Saint of England.
Day 4: September 5, 2021
Enjoy the day at sea about the luxurious Regent Seven Seas Cruises S.S. Navigator® en route to your next port of call,
Day 5: September 6, 2021
Halifax, an Atlantic Ocean port in eastern Canada, is the provincial capital of Nova Scotia and your next destination. Welcoming travelers to an innovative and historic cityscape, Nova Scotia’s Halifax offers excellent dining and friendly maritime smiles. Tour Halifax Citadel or take a stroll along the historic waterfront or through the delightful Public Gardens, the oldest Victorian gardens in Canada. Lobster and seafood are local specialties and always tempting to the taste-buds. The Micmac Indians, called the area ‘Chebuctook’, meaning Great Long Harbor and the city’s ideal location on one of the largest natural harbors in the world made it a strategic asset for convoys in both world wars. Scenic Dartmouth lies on the opposite shore and can be visited by crossing on the oldest saltwater ferry in Canada.
Day 6: September 7, 2021
After a full day in Halifax, enjoy a restful day at sea visiting the spa or simply relaxing with a book.
Day 7: September 8, 2021
Havre-Saint-Pierre is a town on Pointe-aux-Esquimaux, which is on the Quebec north shore (Côte-Nord) of the Saint Lawrence River in Canada, and your next port of call. Havre-Saint-Pierre welcomes you to its chain of islands and islets whose beauty will take your breath away. The Mingan Archipelago will inspire you with its mysteriously-shaped and unique monoliths. You are sure to be charmed by the unique accent that is characteristic of the region, and which eloquently speaks of its Acadian roots.
Day 8: September 9, 2021
The town of Sept-Îles — also on the Côte-Nord and your stop today — will charm you with its access to nature, Innu culture and industrial heritage. Mingle with local residents and discover the town’s attractions, events and restaurants. No visit to Sept-Îles is complete without an excursion to the Sept Îles Archipelago where you can observe many bird species and hike the trails on Grande Basque Island—you will be enchanted by the wild natural beauty of these islands so close to a bustling urban area.
Day 9: September 10, 2021
Today will begin a two-day experience in Quebec City. Prepare to be thoroughly charmed by this great historic city. The only walled metropolis in North America provides a taste of authentic, profoundly French culture. Stroll the cool cobbled streets of Basse-Ville with its outstanding 17th- and 18th-century architecture, graceful parks and delightful sidewalk cafés. Head over to the Rue du Trésor where many local artists display and sell their artwork. Discover Place Royale, a beautifully restored market square and the green-turreted castle of Château Frontenac, Québec’s most celebrated landmark. Stop for spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River, Île d’Orléans and the Laurentian Mountains at Dufferin Terrace.
Day 10: September 11, 2021
Continue to explore Quebec City.
Day 11: September 12, 2021
Upon arrival in the port in Montreal at 8 a.m., you will disembark and end your experience on Regent Seven Seas Cruises S.S. Navigator®.
